STRETCHES FOR THE OFFICE WORKER

THE STORY BEHIND

STRETCHES FOR THE OFFICE WORKER

In my actual 9-6, I would spend hours locked into Excel and data. Hunched over my desk, my right hand cramping from mouse’ing between screens and sitting cross legged on my chair. Back to back meetings and a packed calendar leads to hours in our chair, sometimes not even seeing the sunlight or getting a chance to get up. As a righty, I have shoulder and neck pain on my right side - probably from the mouse work. And because our body is all connected, I sometimes feel it in my lower back
These are some easy stretches you can sneak in. You don’t even have to do all of them, and you probably won’t. Find a moment to stretch out your arms or legs. Do some neck rolls. Just remember to move your body

As Co-Chair of the Emerging Professionals Network at Omnicom Media, I was tasked with curating culture across DEI initiatives, in collaboration with C-Suite and DEI Leadership. As professionals enter the advertising world, my role as Co-Chair was to plan and execute learning opportunities while cultivating a community where employees feel empowered to knowledge share with like-minded professionals

  • CORPORATE MEETS WELLNESS: Employee Appreciation Week

    • Marrying fitness and corporate culture, I leveraged my fitness background to plan the company’s first nation-wide Employee Appreciation Week, rooted in wellness initiatives in both virtual and IRL environments. Initiatives were activated in: NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta and Dallas

    • Events: Mindfulness Monday, Teaching Tuesdays, Wellness Wednesday, Thankful Thursday, Free & Flow Friday

    • Lead Mindfulness Monday sessions to 85+ attendees; leading students through meditation, dharma and yoga practice

It’s been so fun getting to blend 2 things I love (yoga, advertising) and getting to share it with the world. SO, I made a video to put a piece of it outside my little advertising bubble :)
